Respite Cooperatives

Parents who care for children with special needs find very little time for themselves.  There are currently 12 Respite Co-ops throughout South Carolina that provide a break for a couple of hours.  If you love children, we invite you to help care for children with special needs and their siblings.  The mothers and fathers will thank you!  A notebook giving pertinent facts about the children is reviewed with volunteers before the respite cooperative begins.  Please call your local Family Connection office to see if there is a Respite Co-op in your area.
