Have typically developing children ages 8-12 who need something just for them?
Kid Connection in the Midlands returns to the Family Connection Columbia office.
Kid Connection provides a safe space for typically developing children to gain support and express concerns over the unique experiences of having a sibling with a disability or special healthcare need.
At Kid Connection, participants will:
● Meet others their age who have a sibling with a disability or special healthcare need.
● Talk with others who “get it” about the good (and sometimes not so good!) parts of having a sibling with special healthcare needs.
● Play interactive games and participate in craft activities.
● Learn more about disabilities and the services that those with disabilities receive.
● Have fun!
How long and often is Kid Connection? The two-hour workshop is held once a month.
