PEATC Online Event: Supported Decision Making in Special Education–Start Early

Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 | 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

PEATC  welcomes nationally renowned legal expert, Jonathan Martinis, Esq. to talk about the role of supported decisionmaking in special education.

Supported decision-making helps students with disabilities become more independent and make their
own choices and decisions, with the help they need from trusted advisors, like family members. It’s
an important option to consider when your child turns 18 and still needs supports to make important decisions about their future. But it also applies when your child is much younger.

Join PEATC and Mr. Martinis as he talks about what supported decision-makingis, why it’s important, and how it can have a positive impact on your child’s present and future.
