Pace

Pace is a 12 month old ball of smiles and giggles. Despite his diagnosis of Hyperekplexia, which impacts how several genes in his brain stem and spinal cord send messages to his body to control tone and mobility, he continues to make strides in his development and growth. His team of physical therapists and aides are committed to making his progress a priority. Although unfamiliar with his condition, his family was very impressed with the effort put into learning what was necessary to best develop a care plan for him. When he started, he could not roll from back to stomach/stomach to back, go from lying on his back to sitting or even flex his legs/arms. Now he has more periods of relaxed limbs, rolls from stomach/stomach to back, crawls and is currently working on standing. His family has big hopes and dreams of him walking and running into his future.
