Baylee

Baylee is a smart, active little girl who attends Oak Pointe Elementary School in Irmo despite having several diagnoses, including Down syndrome, an AV canal defect, hypoventilation, obstructive sleep apnea, gastroesophageal reflux, hypothyroidism, asthma, trachea broncus and duodenal web. She was born full term but spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Her AV canal defect was repaired through open heart surgery when she was six months old. Unfortunately, Baylee has quite the medical history. She’s had countless surgeries, hospitalizations and illnesses. But she always pulls through with a smile. Her strength is fierce and she is so determined. She enjoys playing with her two younger sisters, singing, music, dancing, riding four wheelers and dirt bikes, swinging and swimming. You can always count on a hug or a fist bump from Baylee. Her family knows she can do great things.
