Community

Family Connection was founded by four mothers more than 30 years ago, to provide information and support for families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. Today we strive to be a rally point for the community with social media discussions, local events, workshops, and advocacy work with our allies.

Healthcare Connection

The Healthcare Team can provide information and answers to questions around medical care, insurance and more.

Education Partner

Family Engagement Managers empower parents with tools, training, and support to help them understand and navigate the educational system.

Project Breathe Easy

Project Breathe Easy (PBE) is an award-winning program that provides emotional and informational support to parents who have children with asthma.

NICU Support

Family Connection staff provide crib-side support to parents with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) in several South Carolina hospitals.

Parents As Teachers

We offer a home visitation program that provides parents with information on child development from prenatal through five years of age.

Parent Support Programs

There are many advantages to having a veteran parent of a child with special needs in your corner. These programs are intended to provide you with the support you need.

Families with shared experiences are uniquely able to offer support, guidance and encouragement to those traveling a similar journey. We offer a variety of programs and services that are family centered and based on the concept of parent-to-parent support.
