Delaney has a big personality. She is described as sweet, spunky, funny, opinionated, loving, stubborn, sassy, loyal, silly, and kind. She is a joy to everyone who knows her. Delaney loves to do karate, gymnastics and swim. She and her brother, Walker (age seven), are best friends. Even though Walker has now surpassed her in size, Delaney is serious about her role as the big sister.

Delaney has a diagnosis of Down syndrome. She works hard to accomplish what comes easy to most. From daily therapies to hours of additional academic work, she works so hard to live in this “typical” world. Delaney has been fully included in a general education classroom since kindergarten, and she has thrived in this environment. From acing her spelling tests, to completing grade level math, and building meaningful friendships, this girl is proving she can do anything she sets her mind to.
