Delaney

At just 8 years old, Delaney has never met a stranger! With her big personality and bright smile, Delaney takes over any room she enters, and she easily makes friends wherever she goes!

Delaney works hard in her general education kindergarten class, and her favorite subject is science. She also enjoys spending time working on advancing her skills and abilities in various therapies and after school activities. These activities keep this spirited 8-year old with Down syndrome engaged, smiling and give her the opportunity to spend more time with her many friends! Delaney’s boundless energy is put to good use during the various extracurricular activities she likes to take part in, including gymnastics, karate, swimming, dancing and horseback riding. While horses may be her favorite animal, Delaney also loves spending quite a bit of time with her furry, four-legged best friend and family cat, Scrappy.

Delaney’s family hopes the LOOK! exhibit helps show the world what a beautiful girl she is inside and out. They also hope by showcasing her bright smile and vivacious spirit that people will begin to understand more about children like Delaney and educate others about the many abilities of children with Down syndrome. One thing they are sure of – this smart, determined, and capable 8 year-old has never let her disability define her!
