When you meet Daisy, you will soon notice her ‘can do’ attitude. She is fearless and sees no limitations. A sweet, sassy, strong-willed and joyful girl, Daisy is full of laughter and personality.
Born with Down syndrome and congenital heart defects, Daisy has been through surgery and extensive hospitalizations. Her family celebrates every milestone, large or small. Her mom, Holly recalls a special moment last Thanksgiving when Daisy, who is mostly nonverbal, asked for “apple pie” in a loud, clear voice!
Daisy loves to sing, dance, and play with other children. Her other interests include visiting the beach or pool and playing video games with her dad. She also enjoys watching sporting events on television and puts her hand over her heart during the National Anthem.
Daisy has opened her family’s hearts and shaped their priorities to appreciate spending time together enjoying little things. They hope the people she meets will make the effort to slow down and experience what a wonderful little human she is.
“We want the world to know Daisy is capable, equal, beautiful and kind” says Holly.
