Will is a source of joy and resilience for his family. Will’s playful nature comes alive with his favorite activities like playing in the rain, riding on the boat, and swimming—a passion since he was just two weeks old. His remarkable memory and knack for climbing reveal a child determined to explore his world on his terms.
Diagnosed with autism and epilepsy, Will began his journey in early intervention at the age of two, working through sensory processing disorder and speech delays. Will’s indomitable spirit always shines through. His parents cherish the moments when his laughter fills the room. Recently, Will surprised everyone by speaking words after years of silence. Echoing “mama” and “alleluia” was a heartwarming breakthrough.
Family Connection of South Carolina has played a crucial role in supporting Will and his family, offering resources that have helped them navigate challenges and embrace their journey with compassion and understanding. His parents are deeply grateful for the guidance that has empowered them to help others and advocate for children like Will.
At the upcoming LOOK! event, his parents hope others will see Will as they do: a hilarious, loving, and tenacious boy who brings delight and inspiration to all who know him. They want the world to recognize his capabilities and the profound impact he has on those around him, proving every day that he is much more than the sum of his challenges.
