Jackson’s love for laughter, adventure, and animals shines through his personality. His resilience and unwavering kindness inspire all who know him. From writing heartfelt letters, to joining art clubs, enjoying horseback riding, and building Legos, Jackson’s interests are as diverse as his spirit.
Keen to showcase Jackson’s uniqueness, his family eagerly wanted him to be part of the LOOK! event. Jackson’s journey has been marked by significant milestones—he was diagnosed at a young age with autism, ADHD and anxiety but has worked diligently through occupational therapy, speech therapy, and counseling. He transitioned from needing a 1:1 shadow to becoming fully independent with support by fourth grade. Now attending his own IEP meetings, Jackson has emerged as a remarkable self-advocate.
Jackson’s joy and kindness are boundless. He brings laughter and warmth to everyone around him, making meaningful connections and advocating for kindness and acceptance.
The Kerwin family says Family Connection has helped connect them with many resources which have provided guidance so they can be better advocates for Jackson and help Jackson become an amazing self-advocate!
