Born with a spirit as adventurous as the wind, Daniel continues to demonstrate his courageous spirit through his love of roller coasters, slides, ziplines, and all the thrills. He has a love for music, particularly Michael Jackson. He taught himself to play clarinet, highlighting his creative and self-driven nature. These interests not only define Daniel’s lively personality but also highlight his capacity to inspire and bring joy to those around him through his bravery.
Diagnosed with Down syndrome, Daniel continuously shows perseverance, whether it be learning to ride a bike or his fight for his musical talents to be heard in his school’s band. Even alopecia universalis is no match for the unwavering, joyful spirit Daniel embodies. In the last year, he has been participating in a study in Colorado and amazingly, has gotten about 90% of his hair back including eyebrows, some eye lashes and even a bit of facial hair.
Daniel’s mom, Mercedes, tells us, “Daniel is an awesome person. If you don’t make assumptions and give him a chance, you will be amazed by him!”
