With an infectious personality that can put a smile on anyone’s face, Daniela is one of the happiest 10-year-old kids around. Her laugh makes anyone near her giggle as well. She strives to make everyday a good one!
Daniela has a diagnosis of autism. Daniela started receiving early intervention services soon after turning a year old. Through consistent work in therapy, she continues to set and reach new goals.
You may find Daniela outside swinging and jumping on the trampoline. She is learning new skills every day. Her recent accomplishments include writing her name and creating a doodle of something she watched on her tablet. Since then, she signs her name and doodles wherever she can. Daniela also enjoys having people make characters out of Play-Doh, so that she can put on a play with them. Her favorite real-life role is being big sister to Diego, her two-year-old brother.
Their mom, Jena, is inspired to be like her children when it comes to their adaptability to the world, regardless of how challenging it may be. When asked about a proud parent moment, she responds with “I have way too many to choose from! They make me proud to be their mom every day.”
