Beverly—better known to her friends and family as Bevy—is pure sunshine wrapped up in a tutu and sparkly sneakers. Her playful personality has a magical way of turning everyday moments into celebrations!
At just 10 months old, Bevy faced a major challenge when she was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, resulting in the loss of her hearing. That was just the beginning of her story, not the end. After receiving cochlear implants, Bevy soared forward, mastering both American Sign Language and spoken language, and then thriving in school with confidence and joy.
Whether she is advocating for herself, leading classroom visitors on a tour, or dazzling her family with a living room concert, she proves daily that determination beats doubt every time. She is a child who says, “I can do it!”—and then does it with a smile.
This year, Bevy hit another milestone: learning to ride her bike without training wheels! Even after a few tumbles last year, she did not let fear stop her. Thanks to her hard work and encouragement from her dad, Bevy is now zipping around so fast he can barely keep up.
Bevy’s days are full of music, makeup sessions, outdoor adventures, and lots of dancing—she is taking tap, ballet, and jazz classes this year and loving every step. She finds joy everywhere and shares it generously, leaving a trail of laughter and kindness wherever she goes.
Changing the world around her, Bevy inspires her family to see things through a different lens—one that values inclusion, celebrates resilience, and advocates for every child’s right to be their best self. She teaches others that differences are not barriers; they are beautiful.
Looking ahead, her family sees a future where Bevy continues to chase big goals, stand up for herself and others, and live boldly. They know there is nothing she cannot do.
