Curious about the world and the people around her, baby Marcie has a courageous spirit and is ready to explore everything.
Marcie was born with Down syndrome. She also stopped breathing shortly after she was born and required oxygen during her 17-day stay in the NICU. She continued to need oxygen therapy for an additional two months after she went home. Those first months were no indicator of the high-spirited baby who would surprise her parents by rolling over at the age of three months. Marcie loves playtime on her tummy, popping her head up and smiling at herself in the mirror. She is a social girl who is already her own little person and likes being the center of attention wherever she goes.
One person Marcie loves to be around is her big brother, Hudson. She cannot stop smiling at him, and although he is only a toddler himself, he is already helping with the things she needs and is always ready to give his baby sister a hug. Marcie enjoys playing with balls and rattles with Hudson and watching Hey Bear Sensory Dancing Fruit videos on YouTube.
Marcie’s parents hope she will continue to explore, thrive, and grow in every way—in school and in the adventurous life of her choosing.
