AJ is a ball of energy, always on the move and ready for fun. He loves jumping on the trampoline, splashing in the pool, and flipping around the playground. His excitement for life is contagious, and his bright smile can bring cheer to any room. Whether he is listening to music or watching the world whiz by from the car window, he takes in every detail with curiosity and joy.
When AJ’s family received his autism diagnosis, they were overwhelmed, but Family Connection became a source of guidance and reassurance. Connecting with other parents and having a dedicated support parent to lean on made all the difference.
One of the biggest milestones in AJ’s journey was receiving his Augmentative and Alternative Communication device, which has helped him communicate in new ways and connect with those around him. Finding the right therapies along with access to services can be challenging, but AJ’s parents have worked hard to find the right speech, occupational, and physical therapy providers for him. Today, AJ is thriving with a balance of structured support and plenty of time for family fun.
AJ has changed his family in the best ways possible, teaching them empathy and the joy of celebrating every milestone, no matter how big or small. His parents dream of a future where he is fully included and accepted in everything he chooses to do. With his determination, playful spirit, and the love surrounding him, AJ is already making the world a better place.
