With a quirky personality, Katie is not afraid to be herself. She is a fun-loving kid who proudly marches to the beat of her own drum unapologetically. Typically laughing and joyful, she is also quick to make sure her two sisters stay out of danger and mind their manners.
A diagnosis of autism and speech delay has not kept Katie from achieving big goals. This year she was reading on a third-grade level while in the first grade. Her mom says Katie’s determined nature is admirable and that Katie has the sass to go right along with it, which is an amazing combination!
At home, Katie is 100% a “mama’s girl”, who is also the realist of the family. She has helped her family understand that neurodiversity is challenging, yet beautiful.
Katie’s family believes she can be anybody she wants to be and can do anything she sets her mind to! “Katie will continue to shine brightly and conquer the world in her own way and time, and the world better watch out!”
