One look at the smile that spreads across Tripp’s face will have you under his spell as his laughter fills the room. If you are lucky enough to be on the receiving end of one of his famous hugs, it will instantly make your day brighter.
Tripp has a love for music and will sing his ABCs for all to hear! He also enjoys jumping in his bounce house, reading books, and organizing his toys just the way he likes them. Tripp has grown leaps and bounds over the past five years and has become a fish in the water. Fearless, he dives right into the deep end of the pool and swims as fast as he can all summer long.
Tripp’s determination is unmatched. At 18 months old he was referred to BabyNet and was diagnosed six months later with autism, global developmental delay, and a receptive speech delay. Communication was one of the biggest hurdles for Tripp and his family, but he did not let that stop him. Through hard work and persistence, Tripp found ways to express himself and share his needs and desires. Tripp is a force to be reckoned with and continues to challenge himself by mastering new skills year after year. One of the most cherished memories from Tripp’s journey is the first time he told his mother “I love you.”
Tripp’s unique perspective and vibrant personality allow him to experience the world in a distinct way each day. Though his way of communicating may be different, he still experiences love, joy, and success. Tripp is defined by the passion and love he shares with the world. Stevie, Tripp’s mother, shares, “My hope is that Tripp will continue to make progress and will grow into his unique self, whatever that may be. Our family hopes he will always be accepted and loved for who he is. We know Tripp will do big things and make the world a brighter place just by being in it and sharing his brand of love and happiness.”
