Claire is a bright light in the world around her. She is full of joy, always ready with a smile, and approaches life with a sense of wonder. Whether she is dancing on stage, swinging outside, or getting lost in a delightful book, Claire finds happiness in the simple moments. She loves music, art, and playing with her Barbies, but what truly sets her apart is her kind heart and deep love for those around her.

When Claire was born in 2014, her diagnosis of Down syndrome came as a surprise. Though her journey was different than her family originally envisioned, it quickly became one of love, advocacy, and growth. From the very beginning, they embraced early intervention, therapies, and educational opportunities to help Claire reach her full potential. While academics have presented challenges—often requiring persistence and teamwork between parents and educators—Claire continues to prove she is capable, determined, and ready to learn!

Through every milestone, Claire amazes her family. They remember the moment her daycare sent home her extra clothes, announcing she was potty trained, and the time she bravely stood on stage at church, delivering her lines with confidence. She loves deeply, laughs easily, and faces new things with determination.

Claire’s impact goes beyond her family—she inspires those around her to see beauty in every moment. As the 2024 Buddy Walk Ambassador, she proudly represented the community that has supported her journey. Her family’s hope for the future is simple: that Claire continues to build friendships, finds meaningful work, and lives as independently as possible. Claire is strong, talented, and exactly as she was meant to be.
