Gabriella “Gabby” Gibson likes to show up with a full smile, an ever-ready hug, and a pair of upside-down sunglasses worn with confidence. Gabby does not just see the world differently—she invites others to see it that way too.

Gabby has a diagnosis of autism. Throughout her journey, no matter the challenges, Gabby shines. Her laugh can melt stress, and her warmth lifts even the hardest days. She waves to a stranger and makes a new friend with every one of her smiles. She is giving, kind, intelligent, and wonderfully unique.

There is something special about the way Gabby experiences the world. Her family says she helps others do the same, offering a fresh, beautiful perspective on life. “Gabby does not shy away from a challenge,” her mother says. “She will try and try again until she’s conquered her fear or overcome what’s standing in her way.” This drive led to one of her mom’s proud moments: just one year ago, Gabby was nearly two years behind in her speech development. Today, she has caught up to her peers and is surpassing expectations.

Gabby loves the beach, playing with dolls, dressing up, and cuddling close. She brings new meaning to her mother’s life: giving her deeper purpose, greater patience, and an entirely new version of happiness.

Looking to the future, her family sees a uniquely bright path ahead. Whether she blossoms as an artist, a dancer, or something entirely unexpected, their hope is that she embraces her differences and creates a life filled with joy, creativity, and self-love.

To know Gabby is to witness resilience and beauty in its purest form. “She is the definition of rose-colored glasses—even if they are upside down,” her mom says. “She sees the best in everyone and everything.”
