Ava is a joyful and confident girl who knows how to have fun wherever she goes. Full of spirit, Ava loves to meet new people, sing, dance, and shake her booty to “Shake Your Groove Thing!” Her favorite activities are baking cookies, cuddling, watching Daniel Tiger, and going to dance class. Ava has a true spunk for life and looks for a friend in everyone she meets.
At six months old Ava was diagnosed with hearing loss, but Ava did not let that stop her from doing the things she loves. The first day she wore her hearing aids, her eyes lit up, and she couldn’t keep a smile off her face. She finds confidence in getting up in front of her class to do something on the smart board, when it’s her turn to do something at dance camp, or even when she finishes a puzzle by herself. Seeing how proud she is of herself is what makes her family proud of her every single day.
Ava’s mom shares the importance of being accommodating, understanding, and patient with one another. With these qualities, she knows that Ava will continue to grow with confidence to be whoever and accomplish whatever she puts her mind to. Getting to see the excitement on Ava’s face as she puts on her tap and ballet shoes inspires everyone around her. Most of all, Ava wants to be your friend! She loves to be included and is always fully engaged in the life around her.
