Living free and fearless are just two of the countless ways that Jaylen inspires those around him to enjoy life. His family says he is a gentle but powerful soul who teaches others strength, patience, and unconditional love. Jaylen shows others how to truly enjoy each and every moment, even when the road is not always easy.
Transported to the NICU shortly after birth, he has since navigated cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and an autism diagnosis. Today, whether at home or on the ballfield, he is on a mission to be himself! You might also find him bowling, rocking to the beat of his music, or watching one of his favorite movies or TV shows such as Judge Judy! He takes on life like the expert amazing kid that he is, letting nothing and no one hold him back. Even loud noises or challenging activities leave him laughing and ready for more. Jaylen is simply always up for a good time.
As he gets older, Jaylenโ€™s family is excited to see him graduate from high school this year, alongside his sister. Eager to see Jaylen and his sister walk across the stage, his family hopes to be able to start a business where he can work after graduation, with their goal being the creation of a space that promotes inclusion, purpose, and independence. And it is no secret or surprise just where Jaylen gleans his greatness fromโ€”because he and his family set the bar of excellence extremely high. All we can say is: way to go, Jaylen. Keep up the great work, and keep making the high jumps on the trampoline!
