Madison is a sweet and silly little girl who loves making people laugh. She enjoys reading and singing, and her favorite thing to do is making new lyrics to children’s songs and swinging at the park. Madison earned a Super Reader Award in kindergarten, and this incredibly caring girl is always trying to cheer her little sister up when she is upset.
Starting with Early Intervention through BabyNet and Easter Seals, Madison has grown significantly throughout her journey with autism. Early intervention helped Madison’s parents navigate the diagnosis process, including starting school early and working through challenges that arose. She is now able to communicate with her family and enjoys being included in outings with other kids. The biggest challenges currently are potty training and maintaining a consistent sleep schedule. She has also made progress in learning to calm herself down and regulate her emotions.
Madison’s mom, Danyelle, writes, “I would love for people to realize how smart and creative she is. She doesn’t talk much, so people don’t always realize how smart she is.” Most of all, she wants Madison to be happy and included.
