What stands out most about James is his gratitude and optimism. His strength and positivity inspire everyone around him, showing how challenges can be transformed into opportunities for growth and connection.

James’s story is one of incredible resilience, joy, and discovery. Since his diagnosis with Juvenile Dermatomyositis in 2021, he and his family have been on a journey marked by determination and hope. He genuinely appreciates the kindness of the doctors, nurses, therapists, and friends who have supported him along his path, often reflecting on how many wonderful people he has met through this journey. Over the years, he has faced challenges head-on, bravely tackling treatments, finding the right mix of medications, and working hard to regain his strength—all with a tenacity that inspires those around him.

Through it all, James has embraced life with an enthusiasm that is truly contagious. He is an active member of the Roger C Peace Rollin’ Tigers, where his love for wheelchair basketball shines. His dedication to learning Tae Kwon Do and his passion for video games reveal his adventurous and creative spirit. With a quick sense of humor and deep empathy, James brightens the lives of everyone he meets and brings endless laughter and warmth to his family.

Among the many cherished memories his family shares, two experiences truly highlight his incredible spirit. One was his Wish Trip to Walt Disney World, where he became a Jedi on the Galactic Star cruiser. Immersed in adventure, James was in his element, exploring the galaxy with pure joy and letting his imagination run free. Another was his introduction to the Outdoor Dream Foundation, where he was able to try his hand at saltwater fishing and hunting across several different states. These experiences have deepened his love for the outdoors and his sense of wonder about the world around him.
