Literacy Leap: Local Author Read & Meet Book Fair at R2i2 Conference Center

Richland County Public Education Partners (RCPEP) invites local authors to be a part of our Literacy Leap: Local Author Read & Meet Book Fair on Saturday, May 31st, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the R2i2 Conference Center!

This event is a free, family-friendly book fair celebrating the joy of reading while spotlighting the incredible talent of local children’s authors in Columbia, SC. RCPEP invites families with K-12 children to enjoy a day filled with books, activities, and the opportunity to meet and interact with authors who call our area home.

The guest reader is Fraendy Clervaud! Fraendy Clervaud is a distinguished journalist, community leader, and the 5 pm anchor for WACH Fox News at 5. One of his career highlights include producing a compelling series on earthquake disaster relief in Haiti, his parents’ homeland. He is also the author of his award-winning children’s book, Stuttering Stephen, a book based on Fraendy’s life as someone who stuttered. He resides in Columbia with his wife, Esther, and their children. He lives by this motto, “It is the Lord who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.”
