Educational Concerns

After age 3, your local school district becomes the source for many of the services your child needs. Your child has certain rights under the law, our job is to educate and support you the parent as you advocate for your child.

Developmental screening takes a closer look at your child’s development and may identify a developmental risk or area of concern that was not identified during developmental monitoring.

Understanding IEPs and 504s

IEP (Individualized Education Program): Your child qualifies for special education services. The school provides specialized instruction and support designed specifically for your child’s disability and learning needs.

504 Plan: Your child has a disability but can access regular education with accommodations (like extra time on tests, modified materials, or classroom adjustments). It’s about removing barriers so they can participate like their peers.
