From talking to tickling, and swimming to singing, Court is always up for a great time! A loving boy who never fails to win the hearts of all those he encounters, Court is doing better than ever and teaching those closest to him how best to support his evolution and growth along the way.
Looking back to the precious age of 4, when Court was initially diagnosed with autism, his family hoped that one day he would be able to share his needs in a verbal way. That day has finally arrived, as he reads books by his favorite author, Sandra Boynton, something his mother, Kristy, always believed he would someday be able to do! Court’s loving mother encourages us all to find hope in her son’s overwhelming dedication to being his best.
“If Court can work this hard to talk, we can all work hard on the challenges we face,” she said.
Now, an avid swimmer, climber, fan of Google maps, and all-time high scorer at Dave and Busters (one of his favorite places to visit), he is truly a shining star, soaring higher each day – even embarking on a plane ride with his family to Florida last year!
Court’s entire family not only admires his energy but also his passion and persistence. They describe him as a boy who never gives up, and the family is always amazed at the way Court’s passion carries him through each challenge he encounters. From mastering potty training to attending his brother’s hockey games and learning how to use visual charts and writing to express his needs, he just keeps on rising to the top, and sometimes even “driving to the top” when playing with his beloved Hot Wheels Car Collection that is! Ultimately, Court is super silly, a rockstar brother, and full of love. He grasps new things quickly, and his family continues to see the proof of his loving spirit in his sweet smile.
