The evaluation and eligibility process can be complex. Join us as we review the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the process for evaluation and eligibility:
Participants will know the definition of consent, parent, and prior written notice, receive guidance on determining when and how to request an evaluation if a disability is suspected, understand the process and requirements for evaluation as defined in the IDEA, and understand the process and requirements for determining eligibility as defined in the South Carolina regulations and IDEA.
