DESCRIPTION OF WORKSHOP: Participants will learn about the history and the important components of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) as well as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). During this presentation, participants will also be able to identify who is covered under Section 504 and reasonable accommodations. Participants will have the opportunity to practice determining which piece of legislation is applicable when given a real-world scenario.
