Columbia, SC: The torrential rains and floods have caused tremendous loss and damage in the Midlands and across South Carolina. But the spirit and connections of our communities and our state remain strong.
Regardless of backgrounds or beliefs, people have come together to help neighbors and strangers alike. First responders work tirelessly to rescue those in danger and to keep others safe. And there is still much work to be done as people begin cleaning up while the threat of additional flooding remains.
